It’s time for another Poetry Science Cafe at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina! I will join a few members of Living Poetry this Thursday, February 13 in the museum’s Daily Planet Cafe. At these events a guest speaker presents on a topic and our group of poets listens. Each of us writes a poem inspired by the presentation and then reads it at the end of the evening. The themes from the last few events were saving turtles, beekeeping, and backyard chickens.

This week, Marine Education Specialist with North Carolina Sea Grant Terri Kirby Hathaway shares how marine and estuarine animals reproduce. The special Valentine’s event is “Sex and the Sea: Love Stories.”

The presentation starts at 7p EST. If you can’t make it in-person, watch it live online.
