plant your poem workshop
I hope you’re as excited about this writing workshop format as I am. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am merging my gardening life and my writing life next month in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with a unique writing workshop.

We’ll spend the first part of the afternoon in generative mode, writing verse and stories (your pick) inspired by nature-rooted writing prompts. After getting into a solid flow, we will pick one of the pieces to write on plantable paper. Our words will infuse the seeds and grow in the coming weeks. You’ll take home a small planter pot with your poem or story planted within.

We’ll also have a voluntary seed swap station. Bring and take seeds, just bring, or just take. The purpose of this workshop is to grow in new ways.

Later in the afternoon, you will not only leave with a new plant with roots growing through your words, but you’ll have new strings of words you have never put together before.

I hope you can join me on the first Saturday of November to slow down and take some time for yourself before the hustle of the holiday season takes over. (The planted poem would make a great gift, btw! ๐Ÿ˜› )
