No, Write Naked is not 30 years old, but the lady behind the curtain is! Yes, my birthday was last week. While I already celebrated, accepted, mourned, and wrapped my head around this number, today I will raise a glass to this blog: This just so happens to be Write Naked’s 300th post!
Last month when I revealed my new toy I dropped a hint that I would explain why my love surprised me with a kayak: It was my birthday present! 🙂
If you enjoy this blog you would probably enjoy my monthly newsletter. Subscribing is free. (Subscribe here.) I make it a point to only share exclusive pieces in my newsletter–you won’t find identical items you’ve seen on this blog or that I’ve shared on social media. I also share event information with subscribers before it is publicly available.
I maintain the newsletter for those who want a little bonus. I include a short piece about what I’m currently focusing on, an update on the wildlife around our home, a breakdown of changes in online search, publishing trends, and upcoming writing events around the country.
I also include links to the three most-visited posts on Write Naked during the past month so you can see what the masses find interesting. Instead of chronicling the most popular today, I want to include my favorite posts in no particular order. Here are my top picks out of 300:
- Writer’s Week in the Woods of Maine: Part 1
- Writer’s Week in the Woods of Maine: Part 2
- Writers Must Look Back
- When They Say Jump–Write
- A Failed Writer
- First Short Story Published
- Why I Will Keep Writing Naked
- Message From Carrie Bradshaw of the South
- Writer’s Weekend in Photos: Woodworking
- Writers Weekend in Photos: Asheville
Thanks for visiting/following Write Naked!
