Over 40 thank you cards are in the mail right now! Clients from over the past five years will be receiving a thank you card and plant-able bird cards with wildflower seeds embedded inside. The note says to “spread the word and seeds.” Although I did really like the idea of sending a “luck garden” – I think I will save that for client-specific anniversaries. I also got custom anniversary stamps!
For now – lots to be thankful for! It was five years ago this month that I got my first client (and he’s still a client today) and my first paid magazine article all in the same week. Back then I did not have a website, media contacts, testimonials, nor business cards!

Thank You cards for clients.
I’m a staunch believer in thank-you notes. I send them after each event I attend. They are usually much appreciated. Good job! Love the stamps!
I love that you are sending clients cards (with seed packets!); what a great way of staying “top of mind” and helping customers spread the word about your services. Going to work on the freelance portion of my website soon; any tips you have on what to include (i.e., should I include a price sheet or should I have ppl contact me for prices?) etc would be greatly appreciated!!!
What a good question! I’ll have to draft a post in the coming weeks. I encourage writers NOT to include a price sheet, for multiple reasons. (I’ll explain those in the post.)
Great thought. Love the little seed packets!!
