Found a new writing desk at the Raleigh Flea Market! It is from the 1930s. We also got a bookcase made from an old country church pew and the floors from a 1906 house.
I am still interested in getting a stand-up writing desk down the road, but after setting up my computer in the kitchen for the past month and standing there to see if I liked that work style, I learned you need really comfortable sneakers to make that work. Now I am no longer rotating between typing at the kitchen counter, on the sofa, or in bed. Write Naked is being written at a desk once again!
Gorgeous! I also love your monitor on top of that colorful box. I’ve recently shoved my monitor atop a box of D&D figurines, and I’m feeling much more productive. Probably because now I don’t have to slouch in my chair to see the screen, lol.
Thanks, Michelle! The box is a decorative suitcase I keep my piano and guitar sheet music in. I grabbed it randomly and it seems to be the right height. 🙂 I wonder if you use the D&D figures as seldom as I get to play music?
Well, I do play DnD weekly, but I just use my one figurine for my character, so the dusty figurines in the box don’t get much use. Despite our hoards of carefully painted orc warriors and skeleton archers, we still seem to end up using standard six-sided dice as most of our villains. Sigh.
Simple and works! My keyboard isn’t even plugged in…and 2 out of our 3 guitars are in cases. Must. Dust.
